ABL is second to none in its ability to meet urgent customer needs,
often providing modified peptides which have never been synthesised
before. Our laboratories are equipped with fully automated synthesisers
allowing multiple peptide synthesis. Fmoc, t-Boc and Cbz chemistries
are routinely used in our laboratory and to ensure success, difficult
and modified peptide sequences and those which typically fail on synthesisers
are produced manually by our expert chemists.

To ensure product quality, HPLC analysis is always carried out by
reverse phase HPLC using Vydac columns. Peptide purity is determined
by calculating the relative area of the main product peak in the sensitive
UV region (218 nm). A certificate of analysis is supplied with each
peptide and includes a mass spectral and HPLC analysis to ensure product
integrity and purity. We believe our qualities and efficiency of service are unmatched by any other supplier.

With many years of practical (Peptide Products est 1989) and research
experience, we have particular expertise with modified and difficult-to-synthesise
peptides. Examples of modifications of peptides are diverse and ABL
routinely tailor quotes for unusual peptides. To deliver quality solutions,
ABL utilise a wide range of chemistries including both solid and solution
phase technologies along with tactical protecting strategies. For instance,
the in-house availability of Fmoc, t-Boc and Cbz approaches allows great
versatility for site-specific modifications.

ABL offers a comprehensive fluorescent labelling service which includes
expert technical advice on the selection of the correct fluorescent
label for your application. In addition to our usual QA, we also include
excitation and emission spectra for each product. An extensive range
of fluorophores is now available to replace radioactive labels. Whereas
radiolabelled peptides require special handling procedures and are expensive,
fluorescent labels can be more readily introduced during chain assembly
or post-synthetically in a cost-effective manner.
ABL have the capability to construct a viable fluorescent peptide whatever
your application.
