Standard Enzyme Liposomes

ABL standard enzyme liposomes contain either Alkaline Phosphatase or Glucose Oxidase and are extruded through 200nm pore size membranes resulting in a homogeneous preparation with mean diameter of approximately 170nm. This signal amplification feature ( figure below) makes these liposomes useful for diagnostic applications when used with cytolytic peptides.

Enzyme assay:
Assay: 2ml isotonic buffer + 2µl liposomes.
Triton added at point X (10µl of 10% solution) to illustrate full signal release.

Comments: It is recommended to use an isotonic buffer for dilution of liposomes to prevent undue release of enzyme.
